The 23rd North Caspian Regional Exhibition, "Atyrau Oil & Gas 2026," was held
Atyrau Oil & Gas 2026 is one of the Caspian region's key professional platforms, bringing together representatives of the production sector, service companies, equipment manufacturers, and industry experts for open dialogue, technology exchange, and building long-term partnerships. This year, 85 companies from Austria, Azerbaijan, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, and the United States participated in the exhibition.
The event included a strategic session on "The Role of Special Economic and Industrial Zones in the Development of the Petrochemical Cluster and Related Sectors." Representatives of government agencies and industry associations participated in the discussion, including the Ministry of Energy, Industry, and Construction, as well as the NINT SEZ, the Industrial Development Fund, QazIndustry JSC, and leading chemical and petrochemical companies.
Yerzhan Kolbayev, Regional Director of NC Kazakh Invest JSC for the Atyrau Region, presented a report at the exhibition. During his presentation, he presented current government investment support measures, including tax and customs incentives, investment preferences, as well as service tools and post-investment support mechanisms.
Yerzhan Kolbayev also discussed the company's operations and its "one-stop shop" principle, which provides support to investors at all stages—from concluding investment agreements to obtaining incentives.
Participants discussed the role of SEZs as a tool for industrialization and investment attraction, the competitiveness of investment incentives, the infrastructure readiness of sites, production localization, and government support measures. Special attention was paid to international experience in developing industrial zones and the possibilities of integrating Kazakhstani projects into global supply chains.
