urrently, the power supply of the region is carried out at the expense of JSC "Atyrau thermal power plant" and obtaining power from off-balance energy sources through the networks of JSC "Atyrau Zharyk" from Russia and through the networks of JSC "KEGOK" from Mangistau region. 
Electricity with "MAEK - Kazatomprom" comes networks of JSC "KEGOC". On the balance sheet of JSC "KEGOK" power lines with a length of 1679.5 km and 5 substations with a voltage of 220 kW. 
Transmission and distribution of electrical energy from Atyrau CHP is realized on electric networks on the balance regional electricity company (REC) of JSC "Atyrau Zharyk", which includes a set of power lines stretching 9475,9 km, 1714 units of transformer substations, units 77 substations with voltage 0,4-110 kV. 
There are also networks of JSC "Kazakhstantemirzholy" (ECH-4) with a length of 733 km of power lines, transformer substations 90 PCs and 1 substation. 
In addition, on the balance of akimats and districts there are utility power supply networks with a length of 1499.24 km of power lines, 585 pieces of transformer and 1 substation. 
There are 13 701,3 km of power lines, 2389 transformer substations, 84 substations in the region.

In the region there are 5 sources of district heating and 634 Autonomous heating.

The source of district heating of Atyrau is Atyrau CHP 14 boilers with peak hot water boilers with an installed capacity of 736 Gcal/h.
The district heating zone includes the right Bank, the left Bank and the South-Eastern industrial district.
There is a boiler room with a capacity of 13.23 Gcal / hour in the area of the 1st section of Atyrau, which is on the balance of KGP"Atyrau".
Heat is supplied to consumers of Atyrau through the networks of JSC "Atyrau Heat Networks". On the balance sheet of JSC "Atyrau thermal Networks" there are 426.7 km of heat networks, 44 heat points.
In total, there are 520.0 km of heating networks, including 93.3 km in communal ownership and 426.7 km in private ownership.

Atyrau river port is located in the southern part of the city, on the left side of the Ural river Delta. The port can be reached by ship in Atyrau. In order to ensure the upper and lower movement of vehicles on the river, deepening works are carried out in the most remote places of the river (at the confluence of the river in the Caspian sea).
The river port of Atyrau is of strategic importance, as it is associated with the beginning of the stage of industrial development on the shelf of the Caspian sea. This port has the ability to go by sea to Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, as well as across the Volga river to the Azov and Black sea.

The existing network of gas pipelines of Atyrau region currently allows to provide natural gas from 166 settlements to 2 cities and 130 villages. The level of gasification of settlements is 79.5 percent. Not gasified remain 34 settlements. 
Natural gas from LLP "Tengizchevroil" is carried out by the AF networks of JSC "intergazcentral Asia" from the main gas pipelines of Republican significance Central Asia Center and Makat-North Caucasus. Gas supply region produce AF JSC "Kaztransgasaimak", LLP "Atrapasuenos" and LLP "Reliogous". 
Gas distribution networks of Atyrau city are divided into two parts-the right Bank and the left Bank of the Ural river. Gas supply of the right-Bank part of the city is carried out from the automated gas distribution station (AGRs) "Finskaya", covers the right-Bank part of the city of Atyrau, suburban settlements of the village Almaly, Rakusha, Yerkinkala, Bereke, Rembaza, Zhumysker.
