The International Company WIKA Plans to Localize Its Production in Kazakhstan

WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co.KG plans to implement a project for the production of measuring instruments in the city of Atyrau. The launch of production is planned for 2023.

WIKA, founded in 1946, is a German company that holds leading positions in its field. The company produces equipment for measuring pressure, temperature, level and flow, as well as measuring instruments, electrical contact pressure gauges, manometric and bimetallic thermometers, high-pressure gauges, pressure and temperature converters, industrial thermometers, and instruments for the oil, gas, chemical and food industries.

The company has plants in countries such as Germany, Brazil, China, India, Switzerland, the United States, and others. The products are exported to more than 100 countries worldwide.

At a meeting with representatives of KAZAKH INVEST JSC, the Senior Vice President of the company for the CIS region, Enver Shulgyn, stated that by opening production in Kazakhstan, the company plans to meet the demand for its products in Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, as well as in Mongolia and Azerbaijan. Thus, the company also intends to use Kazakhstan as a platform for exporting its products to the markets of other countries. WIKA plans to actively interact with local suppliers and manufacturers to increase the share of local production and reduce logistics costs.

In turn, Deputy Director of the Project Department Arbat Rakhimbayev talked about the company's activities, preferences, and expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support for the company's projects.
